Refund Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-19 (version c1a14c85)

We want you to be happy with Gamoty. This page explains what you can expect if you change your mind after buying time or subscribing a PC.

Free trial

Your first PC starts with a free trial. Nothing is charged for it and there is no card to cancel.

Subscriptions and time passes

Each PC you subscribe renews, each time its time runs out, for the months its subscription renews for (1 to 12), until you delete its subscription. Subscriptions are bought for one or more PCs at once, each for the number of months you choose, those first months paid in advance; one you bought waits in your account, renewing nothing, until you put it on a PC — nothing puts it on a PC by itself. Put on one of your own PCs you already subscribe, it adds its months to that PC’s time, and that PC’s subscription stays as it is. Time passes bought before 30 September 2026 at 19:31 UTC were one-off months and do not renew; when your account has exactly one PC with no time left, a waiting one goes on it by itself.

Deleting a subscription

You can delete a PC's subscription at any time from your dashboard. Nothing more is charged for it (a renewal of it already being charged when you delete it is refunded). The month in progress runs to its end and is not refunded; every whole month this subscription paid for in advance is refunded — the months you bought it with, if you bought it, its renewals (the months of a renewal of several months that have not started included), and months you bought for the PC after subscribing. Other months you bought before subscribing are a purchase of their own, with its own 14 days (below), even when you put them on the PC later. Months bought together were priced together on the price list, so they come back at the price-list rate of the months you keep: you pay the list price of the time you keep, and the rest comes back. Months placed on a PC after its subscription was deleted are not part of it.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with; a payment made by bank transfer goes back to the bank account you name when our payment processor e-mails you for it. Any part that was not paid by your card when it was charged — paid from credit on your account, or a charge under €0.50, which our payment processor carries to your next payment — is credited to your account instead, and refunded on request if you have no next payment.

A subscription you pay for someone else’s PC

A subscription you pay for a friend’s PC is yours, and every refund of it goes to you, never to them. Deleting it and withdrawing from it work exactly as for your own PCs, below and above. You can take it off their PC at any time, from your list of PCs. If you do, or if your friend gives it back, removes that PC or deletes their account, nothing is refunded by it: the subscription comes back to you, the time already running stays with your friend, and any time paid in advance waits with the subscription until you put it on one of your PCs or on a PC shared with you, or delete it — either way that time paid in advance is then refunded to you. Within your 14 days you can still withdraw from it: you pay only for the time used, and the time still running on their PC stops. If you delete your account, the subscription ends without a refund, and your friend keeps the time already paid.

Right of withdrawal: 14 days, pro rata

You may withdraw within 14 days of:

When you buy or subscribe, you ask us to start your time straight away rather than after those 14 days. So if you withdraw, you pay only for the time you used until you told us, in proportion to the total price you paid, and we refund the rest. When you withdraw from all of it, months that had not started yet are refunded in full, at their share of that total. If you withdraw from only part of what one payment paid for — one PC’s subscription, while other PCs or months paid in the same payment stay — what you keep (those, and the time used) is priced on the price list as that many PC-months, and the rest of that payment is refunded. The time that purchase or subscription paid for ends when you withdraw; any other time on your PCs is untouched. Deleting a subscription within those 14 days is a withdrawal: the time it paid for ends at once, and the PC stops then unless it holds other time.

A renewal of a subscription, of one month or of several, continues the same contract: it does not start a new 14 days.

Cancelling your subscription in the billing portal is not a withdrawal: it only stops the next renewal, and your PCs keep the time already paid for. To withdraw, use the “Withdraw from contract here” button in your dashboard, in “Time passes & billing” — next to the subscription, or under “Recent purchases” for a purchase — delete the subscription there, or e-mail us.

After 14 days

Payments for months already started are not refunded, except where the law requires otherwise — if the Service is faulty your statutory rights are unaffected. Months a subscription paid for in advance are refunded when you delete it, as above.

If we close your account for a breach of the Terms of Service, the months you paid for that have not started are refunded.

How to withdraw or ask for a refund

Within the 14 days, use the “Withdraw from contract here” button in your dashboard, in “Time passes & billing” — next to the subscription, or under “Recent purchases” for a purchase — and confirm it: we send you a receipt by e-mail with the date and time we received it. You can also delete the subscription in your dashboard, or email [email protected] from the address associated with your account, saying clearly that you withdraw — you may use the model form below, but you do not have to. Include:

We confirm the amount and the moment the time ends. Refunds go to the original payment method via Stripe — except any part credited to your account as described above — within 14 days of your request, with no fee for withdrawing. Funds typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

Chargebacks

Please contact us before opening a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback ends every subscription on your account at once: nothing more is charged, and the time the disputed payment bought is taken back while the dispute is open. If the dispute is decided in our favour, that time is given back; you can subscribe again at any time.
